The Red Road Season 2 Premiere Sneak Peek
Harold Finds Himself in a Dark Situation
It’s been almost a year since the six-episode debut season of SundanceTV’s The Red Road ended. However, in just over a week, the series will be back for its much anticipated second season, with Jason Momoa’s Phillip Kopus returning home after having been released from jail and Harold (Martin Henderson) still struggling to deal with the many issues going on in Walpole. We at TVOvermind have an exclusive first look at The Red Road‘s Season 2 premiere, which proves that things haven’t gotten much easier for Harold and company since we last saw them, as they find themselves in dark (literally) and dangerous situation.
In addition to Momoa and Henderson, The Red Road stars Julianne Nicholson as Jean Jensen, Tamara Tunie as Marie, Antoni Corone as Captain Warren, Kiowa Gordon as Junior, Allie Gonino as Rachel Jensen, Tom Sizemore as Jack Kopus, and Wes Studi as Chief Levi Gall. Check out our exclusive sneak peek of the premiere below, along with SundanceTV’s official description for the episode, which, by the look and sound of it, should definitely be pretty intense.
The Red Road Season 2 premieres on Thursday, April 2, at 10 p.m. EST on SundanceTV.
It’s been a year and Kopus has been released from jail. He returns home with an ankle monitor, rooting him in a place he would rather forget. He finds out Mike’s girlfriend, Sonya, has moved in with Marie who is helping take care of their newborn. The Lenape tribe has finally received federal recognition, but the tribe’s real problems are just beginning to surface. Harold has his hands full, as the citizens of Walpole make no effort to mask their anger and resentment of the tribe’s new official status. Jean is still struggling with her mental illness and the guilt she feels over hitting the Lenape boy. Mac meets with Levi Gall, a chief from a tribe with a large casino in Connecticut. Levi tries to convince Mac that building a casino is the only way to ensure financial security for the tribe, but Mac rebuffs the proposal. A shocking murder is committed on the mountain and once again Kopus finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.
